Vascular Lesions

Laser treatments are now a routine procedure for the removal of many types of vascular lesions, including hemangiomas, vascular malformations such as port-wine stains, telangiectasias, venous lakes and angiomas. The laser creates heat, which affects the blood vessels only without damaging the overlying skin.

Does the treatment hurt?

The treatments are usually very well tolerated. Pain is mild and short-lived.

How many treatments do I need?

It will depend on the lesion in question. Some lesions will disappear immediately. Others may need a few treatments.
