High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU)

We use Transhole transducer technology for less pain than regular transducers:

• Decreased skin damage and side effects
• Generates stable coagulation point
• Reduced pain

Is the treatment painful?

The treatment is experienced differently by different people. It goes from very mild to moderately painful especially when the treatment goes closer to the lower jaw. Acetaminophen can be taken prior to the treatment visit.

How many treatments will I need?

We recommend 3 treatments about 4 weeks apart. The effects will last 6 months to 1 year after. Maintenance treatments every 6 months after.

There are certain conditions that can make you unfit for a HIFU treatment, some of those are as follows:

• Any active skin infection

• Cystic acne

• Cold sores

• Bell’s palsy

• If you are currently using or have recently used Accutane

• Currently pregnant

• Receiving chemotherapy or radiation treatment

• If you are prone to slow healing, keloids or hypertrophic scarring

• Taking any medication for blood clotting

• Unable to treating over areas with:

  • Mechanical implants

  • Dermal fillers in past 4 weeks

  • Implanted electrical devices

  • Metal stents in the face & neck area

  • Existing keloid

  • Open facial wounds or lesions

  • Severe or cystic acne on the face and/or neck
